long time no see

Hi there folks.
Sorry about the lack of updates recently. Things are busy, but sort of slow as well if you know what I mean. Work all day, sleep all night. Saturdays at work are becoming an occurrence that I find hard to avoid these days. My direct superior is on leave for the next 4 weeks so the pressure is mounting once again.
My guts are playing up alot lately, might be due to the stress, but might be something worse. Knowing me I will wait it out until something explodes or I pass out somewhere. You get the impression I don't like to bother people?
Other things happening at the moment.....
Winter has all but disappeared. It was and will be in the 70's for the next few days. Where is the rain and why is the weather so fucked up.
Big brother has finished and Australian Idol has started. God help us, it's wannabe central at the moment.
A new tv show called "Yasmin's getting married" started up last week and was meant to run for 8 weeks 5 days a week. I was axed on the weekend due to lack of interest and the shows lead character being a two faced cow.
I bought a new pillow top mattress on the weekend. My neck and back are thanking me for getting rid of the old futon. Anyone wanna come and help test it out?
Due to the sunshine yesterday, Oscar had a bath. He likes to bite the water, but doesn't like it getting all over him. That was a challenge. Mind you he smells alot better now.....
Some bad news over the weekend. My grandmother has been in and out of hospital with lung/heart troubles lately. Sunday morning my grandfather found her non responsive to his words in bed and promptly called an ambulance and my mother. Later that day she had a cardiac arrest and was brought back around but has been showed any signs of activity since. At the moment she is on a respirator while the doctors look for signs of activity to enable my grandfather to make the hardest decision ever. The family has been gathering overnight to wait for any news, and at the moment I can't bring myself to go to the hospital. I was so not focused on my work today, but I know that she would have wanted me to not be too cut up about the whole situation as she had been preparing us for a something like this for many months. What saddened me last night was seeing the tears well up in my grandfathers eyes as he said that they have been one and the same together for over 50 years and that he wants them to help her fight whatever has happened. I have always seen my grandfather as such a strong man and the emotional side is one that he has kept from many of us grand children. Unfortunately I know that my mother, aunts and all of us grand children know that he is no longer capable of looking after another elderly person let alone himself. Sadly if the outcome is not good, the final decision won't be either.
On that note I'll leave you to your stinking hot summers on the other side of the globe, or your decent winters down here in the south. Just think of the heat as revenge for the furnace like temperatures that we endured earlier in the year :(
