frosty bits

Wow, has been a few days (almost weeks since the last entry).
The weather has since gotten colder here. For some strange reason as I mentioned last entry, it is only just winter yet is colder than the deep winter we are used to.
The other morning was presented with decent frost coverings on just about every solid object outside. This isn't unusual to some people, but here in the outer suburbs we are likely to see this once every other winter, let alone two mornings in a row....
So from what you can gather it has been a bit cold. Yes I know that many of you live in parts of the world that are far colder, but remember that this is a place that was sweltering through 100 degrees plus Fahrenheit in February.
In other news, I lashed out. My coffee machine has been slowly draining its water reservoir while its not in use for a number of weeks. It still works, but meant that you had to empty it every time you turned it off. It is repairable, but the replacement cost for an identical one is under $100. I paid much more than that for it over 2 years ago, so I thought I may as well upgrade. I could have gone totally over board and bought a $1000+ machine, but settled for one around the $300 mark with a bit off that again as it is mid-year sale time.

I appreciate my real coffee on the weekends as I am back to putting up with instant stuff at work during the weekdays. Even more depressing since the espresso van lady has stopped turning up regularly for my morning fix. The other bummer is that there aren't any decent coffee places to stop at on the way into work (unless you can count McDonalds as one).
Other than that I am still stewing over a video to film to put up here. I want it to be something half interesting, yet worth watching as well..... stay tuned.
New music that has hit my puter at the moment...... The new Muse album came out this week. The first single was strange, but you could pick it was Muse if you had listened to them before. And Eskimo Joe's new album has been added to the collection. Others added in the not so distant past were the latest albums from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gnarls Barkley and Augie March. My ipod synchronizing has been playing up recently and I am pissed that all of the forums seem to have no idea on how to fix the problem. I have done all of the suggested things to date and the thing still fails to re-sync after updating the first time you plug it in. Grrrrrr
You know how you get all those Viagra type spam emails every now and again???? well I happened to catch one the other day that was rather well put together..... see what you think......
