playing catch up

G'day peoples.
So I made a promise to do an entry of sorts. Don't roll your eyes it won't be a long one ;)
Where do I start?
So, not last weekend, but the one before that I lashed out on a DVR. You know one of those hard drive DVD recorder jobbies. We're not lucky enough to get Tivo's down here but this sort of comes close. Have kissed the old (well 12 months old) VHS recorder and moved over to the other side and am enjoying a backlog of digital recordings. Fun stuff.
On the work front, I accepted the new role and have pretty much taken it on straight away. My replacement in training was abandoned due to lack of progress and a general ill feeling that it wasn't going to work out. Have since spotted another person internally who is being groomed for the role. I am becoming quite the trainer and multi-tasking has never been my strong point but I am definitely getting better at it.
On the home front, things are pretty quiet (as usual). The weather is slowly going to crap. The wet days out number the dry ones. Have discovered a great Indian restaurant down the road from here and got some takeaway tonight which will also be leftovers tomorrow night. I could have been a pig and eaten it all in one sitting but its just not worth it.
Other exciting things that have happened...... my sister turned 23 years old...... mothers day without my mother, we sent her a package to where she is working at the moment, it'll be a bit late but the meaning is there. My car went back to the dealership under warranty for the 4th time. Turns out that an ABS loom in the front left wheel had worn through and was causing a fault to show on the console. All good though, was fixed no charge but I am getting worried as there is just under 2 months factory warranty left and I am scared of what other problems may come up after that. Ah well, its one of the risks you take when buying a used car I suppose.
