what to do......

Okay, so these here pages have become a bit of a whine and rant section of late. Sorry if I have been boring you to tears. I'll try and ease up a bit.
Will start with work anyway. I have been working quite closely with my intended replacement over the last week or so. She has become my shadow. I hate to admit it though, my gut tells me that she has no future in the position. The trouble is that if this falls over, then I am stuck with the role for an undefined period of time.
I met with our new operations manager informally last week and spoke of another proposed role that I might be able to fill. It pretty much sums up what I have been doing all along anyway. I was told to think about it and get back to him this week with my thoughts. My first impressions are to jump at it. It means an easier ride, less responsibility and most likely more money. Hmmmmm what to do?
Another gripe I had to deal with today is my mobile phone company. Let's call them Hel$tra, some of you might know who they are. I have two mobiles at the moment, my new one I got late last year and another older one I keep in my car in a hands free cradle. Well the older one is coming up for renewal, and I recently received a letter in the mail with an offer to upgrade to a video mobile. I ignored the letter as I had a better newer phone anyway. So today someone called me from the above mentioned company offering me a new plan with some increased benefits. I was all for it until they mentioned the words '24 month' and I backed out real quick. I ended up transferring over to a cheaper per month deal with no lock in contract so I can get out of it when ever I want to
On a happier note, I ventured down to Ikea on saturday to get my sister a gift voucher for her birthday. Whilst I was there I caved in and bought an el-cheapo decent sized wardrobe. After an hour and a bit of putting it together all my crap that was laying around is now put away. The problem being that the thing is so huge I think it will fall apart when moved though. Bah! you get what you pay for I guess.
So, another week drags on. The dreaded gastro lurgy is going around again and I fear that I may have caught it again. Ugh....
