Twas a bit ordinary.
Ventured out to one of the 'mega' malls today to do some chrissie shopping, and it was mayhem. Surveys show that at least 67% of people don't give a shit about christmas and have left everything to the last minute. No shit Sherlock, they all decided to do something about it today. A number of the bigger centres will be opening around the clock from next thursday until christmas eve. Just makes you want to go hang out with all the throngs of people doesn't it? After being frugal with the money the last few weeks, there is enough in the coffers to cover all the gift giving and the post christmas sales as well.
Went and ordered a new pair of prescription specs today that should be ready before new years, but the main motive was to use up my medical benefits before december 31. No point in wasting them now is there?
My mums race horse ran yesterday and I didn't know about it. Guess what? It won, and I had no money on it. This was it's last race before it was to be sent to the 'glue factory' apparently. Charming stuff.
So, must go find something for dinner before I die from starvation....
