revelations

Wow
Ever get that feeling after taking a holiday that it never felt like you left in the first place?
Well, I have been a good boy and not mentioned work in over 4 entries. Yay for me!
But must mention it sooner or later I suppose. The last week has flown, my current job is far less stressful than it was before, and the place is still in shades of disarray from before I left. I am not making as much effort to look for another job as I have over the past few months, but if something jumps at me I might be tempted to look.
Thanks for all the comments on the photos people (to those who could be nice enough:) ). I really have to say again that Australia is the most amazing place on earth. From flat desolated dry stretches of country to mountainous tropical rainforest to the alpine regions on the east coast to the shivering cold Tasmania, Australia has it all. And I have only seen a small part of it.
I mean, I want to travel overseas, but there is so much to see of home before that. I know the world is ever changing and that home will always be close, so I should make the most of my younger years and get out and see the world, but I suppose after you have travelled, all you have is memories. Photos and words.
Anyway.
Revelations this week....
I want a new iPod. Yeah I know that I have one already, but why do they insist on just making them better again? Probably to make fools like me go out any buy a new one. Bastards.
The rise and fall of the price of Oil has no direct correlation to the rise and fall of petrol here in Australia. If it goes up, they hike it up. If it goes down, it takes its time. If you calculate it correctly, it should be a lot cheaper than it is at the moment as it has fallen to levels from a while ago. Someone is pocketing some cash. And I know it aint me.......
I hate dust. It's everywhere and I must rid it from my life.
I hate myspace whores. People that whore other people on myspace that is. Whoring yourself is perfectly acceptable.
I actually used a roll of 35mm film while I was away. It had been in my camera for over 12 months. I am kind of afraid to put it in for processing as I have no idea what is on half of it. I almost left my film camera in the apartment in Cairns, but remembered not packing it it in a flashback after something jogged my memory halfway to the airport. As you can probably tell, I rarely use it anyway.
They have finally announced a Coldplay gig for Adelaide in July next year. Tix cost $AUD119. Ouch. But it is most definitely worth it. Interstate gigs sold out in a matter of hours.
Big Day Out tickets have also gone on sale. I can't say that I am impressed with the line up thus far, but will probably go to the Adelaide one anyway. Sydney has almost sold out, which must be a record for sales. Meh, I must be getting old.
On that subject, did you know that it is my birthday next Sunday?
I need to find somewhere to take the family for lunch for said birthday. The old haunts are getting boring.
Enough revelations?
I think so.
Have you got any?
Anyway, rainy day. Cleaning to do, maybe some shopping for a new 10' fishing rod that I am in need of.
Later folks
~MJ~
