sunday and flying weekends

Where the hell did that weekend go?
It didn't seem that busy but somehow it went pretty quickly.
The last week has been quite easy going. The main reason was because the boss was in Sydney, the other reason was that most of my customers had been visited and had either been calmed down or lied to by the big boss man. Thankfully.
Friday I had the pleasure of a customer visit from New Zealand, so I had to keep him occupied for most of the day, including doing lunch.... Strangely though I had to wear a tucked in shirt and dressier pants than I normally wear to make myself look a tad more presentable. I even had to have a shave, something I normally only do twice a week. The boss would have been shocked, I am glad he wasn't there, knowing him, he would have taken advantage of my presentation and insisted that I look that way every day.....
Was up bright and early on saturday morning to get my car dropped into town for the installation of my new CD player. Whilst it was being done I had a wander through the Central Market, had some breakfast and a coffee at one of the many cafes in the precinct. I wandered over to King William street and had a look through a couple of clothing stores when I got a phone call telling me that my car was ready to pick up. Not bad for just over 2 hours work.
Managed to get caught in a rainstorm whilst on the way back to my car and got thoroughly drenched.
Anyway, here is what the new toy looks like, before and after....

after

joy! iPod in the car
So there. I finally coughed up the bucks to have it done. Half of it went on the credit card and the other was paid for up front. The only downside of the whole thing is that I have lost the steering wheel controls for the stereo as they only worked for the original unit. You can buy a special adaptor thingie, but at around $200, that can wait. I also found that the speakers for my phone hands free don't work, so I will have to take it back to them to get fixed next week. Not really upset about that one, as they really needed my phone to make sure it worked anyway. No biggie.
So, back to work tomorrow, only 2 more weeks until i'm on holidays. Hoofuckingray. Hopefully the next couple of weeks should fly past with relatively no drama at all. Yeah right. Nothing ever happens the way you want it to.
While on the subject of music, here's some stuff that is rocking my world lately.
The Cloud Room - Hey Now Now
Spoon - Sister Jack
Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To
The Bloodhound Gang - Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo
Ministry Of Sound - Big Tunes, Living For The Weekend (Album)
Amerie - One Thing
Coldplay - Fix You
Gorillaz - Dare
The Veronicas - 4Ever
Righto folks,
Time for a early one! Till next time.
