moving on

Thanks everybody for the kind words after the last entry. I'm not a sentimental kinda bloke, but the accident was a somewhat life changing experience, if anything it made me grow up a little. The fact that I handled all my own affairs was something that didn't go un-noticed in my family. I think that young people these days live far too sheltered lives. My sisters boyfriend lives at home with his parents still. They pay all his bills for him, look after his car maintenance, and recently when his car was involved in an accident he had no idea what to do. What a worry.
What a cluster-fuck of a week it has been. Thank heavens that tomorrow is Friday. Another couple of resignations. 2 good friends have quit in the last week, one is moving onto another job, the other just got sick of the place and hasn't found anything else. I honestly think that everyone is looking around at the moment. I know I am, and have even had people ask me if I was leaving too.
My job doesn't have many benefits, but I have earned the respect of many a fellow co-worker and that should be more than enough to keep me there. But I feel tired in the job. Some days the grief just isn't worth it. There is some satisfaction, but as soon as that comes, another problem presents itself. To their credit, senior management is making some drastic changes across the board, but they are all new faces, with little or no idea of the way the company has run to date. This mean that we are constantly having to correct problems and explain the way things have been done before to many people. Bah! I should stop now. My brain is starting to hurt and I'm not even at work.
Enough.
Oscar smells. I think he is going to get his first bath on Saturday. Fun stuff. Photos shall follow of course.
Am going on a car cruise on Sunday with a few of the guys from work. The plan is to do a car wash Sunday morning and then met up at a location to head off on a scenic drive with the aim of one of the guys taking a heap of photos of all of our cars. More pictures. Joy.
Sad news over the last day or so. Another person was taken by a shark offshore locally here, he was diving on a research trip near a tyre reef in a well known fishing spot. I can't remember there being so many attacks in such a short period of time. Pretty sad really.
Well, the last episode of Lost just went to air here, late I know. It was pretty pathetic really.
