road trips and scraping the barrel

I am trying to plan a road trip. One of solitude.
I could go for the peaceful outback, with nothing but a handful of camping gear, the ute and myself or I could go east with the bustle of Melbourne and even take a ferry ride across to Tasmania. Of course going east is an expensive trip, there's accommodation, ferry trips, food and all the other stuff you don't take on a camping trip. I like camping and all, but on your own the novelty wears off after a while, whereas staying in furnished accommodation is exciting and new. I'm going to have to ponder a bit. I have until October to figure it out. Alternative ideas would be warmly welcomed.
I have Wednesday off work to have the new exhaust fitted to my car. It will give me the opportunity to wander around town and get a few things done. I have to drop past the bank on the way home and pick up a cheque to pay the exhaust people the next day. Fun stuff.
I noticed Andrew has introduced some more spam filtering on the comments here on dland. About bloody time I say. I have been putting up with the spam for as long as I can remember, and after several emails to him to get it looked into something has finally been done. Let's see how long it lasts. I renewed my membership a month or so back for 12 months, I just hope my money has been well spent.
Well, I am bored. I started writing this about 2 hours ago and haven't got very far.....
I think of something witty and smart ass to write in here and by the time I get here to write about it, it's gone. Don't you just hate that?
Chatted with MK over the weekend about his new found friend. Must say I approve, but do I need to give my blessing anyway, haha. Good luck. It's fun stuff, and the fringe benefits are great..
Okay then, this entry is quickly going off the rails. Must pack it in for the night.
People are talking about private parts on Big Brother on the box....
Later peoples
